Job overview

We’re offering fantastic opportunities for qualified Radiographers looking for a new 
challenge or final year Student Radiographers to secure a permanent Band 5 post in the 
Imaging Directorate at the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) on the General 
Modality Team.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the General Modality team you will be joining a team of approximately 60 
band 5/6 Radiographers, 8 Assistant Practitioners, and 15 Imaging Department Assistants 
working at the Royal Stoke site. The team are friendly and welcoming to those that are new 
to the area and have a great social network.
We have 10 x-ray rooms; predominantly DR with an equipment replacement programme in 
place to move to being fully DR. Additionally we have 9 Image Intensifiers to support the 
busy workload in the operating theatres. You will rotate through all General Modality areas
including in-patients, out-patients, MSK, theatres, mobiles, and fluoroscopy. You will 
participate in the Red Dot system and you will be contributing to a 24/7 roster with 
enhancements for duties worked out of hours that will boost your salary.

  • Experience in Trauma and Theatre Imaging

  • Experience of QA monitoring.
